July 31,1955. Sharming, Alberta: Euall Bredunbuttre (66) calls police after hearing strange noises coming from his well. When police arrive Mr. Bredunbuttre cannot be found. There are rumours of what the police found but all records have been redacted.

Weird creature known colloquially as “Uncle Bob.” Wormlike creature with a body that resembles an ugly human head.

July 30, 2026: Sightings of the Hourglass Lake Mermaid seem to be early this year. Since around 1823 people have reported seeing this strange creature around the rocky shore of Hourglass lake in western Canada, usually in mid August.

Drawing of the hourglass lake mermaid. A horrible cyclopian creature covered in tentacles.

July 21, 2026 Seattle: People have been reporting sightings of a strange furry creature wandering around the city. At first they thought it was a raccoon suffering from short spine syndrome, until it started getting violent. Locals have named it “Grimothy.” #jimothy

Drawing of a horribly deformed raccoon.
Based on Seattle’s Jimothy.

Heya! I'm Richard Pace. Co-creator with Mark Russell of Second Coming from AHOY Comics. Not looking for projects as much as interesting covers, pin-ups, or short stories. There's work I can't share, so I focused on some of my favourite covers and pin-ups from the last few #portfolioday

You know if I am completely honest 95% of my movie reviews would be: “That was pretty fun. I liked it.” Another 4% would probably be some version of, “I’m probably not the audience for this but I hope who ever it’s for liked it.” Movies are great.

“So, about Linda… before you ended up going back to 1300ad and almost becoming king, you chopped her head off with a shovel and then cut her apart with a chainsaw? Is that why she hasn’t shown up for her last couple of shifts?” - stock clerk at the end of Army of Darkness….

Lopside, Alberta; June 13, 2026: After its most recent sighting, captured on the local news during a morning fluff piece about Harriette Drome’s 99th birthday, the town was forced to admit “Hollow Howard” was more than just an Urban Legend. #monster

Drawing of Hollow Herman, a large creature that stands on two legs. A group of long boneless arms protrude from its abdomen. Large openings like tunnels through its flesh cover its head and upper chest.

How is a movie about an apparently reanimated, satanic serial killer who escaped from a secret government facility that’s turning murderers into monsters killing his way across country to blow up a nuclear power plant in order to open the gates of hell so disappointing #psychokiller

Got to design a poster for a 30th Anniversary screening for one of my favourite movies: Mars Attacks! I love the design of these creeps. I also hid the mascots for the theatre in the image just for fun!

Martians destroy the revue theatre in Toronto. Poster I designed for 30th anniversary screening.Zoomed in version of the poster I designed for the Mars Attacks screenin at the Revue in Toronto.
