Just kind of ironically, the best quality sneakers for lasting a long time are well made skate shoes at approximately the $60 range, because the manufacturer is working on the assumption you'll try to destroy it. Used to be Vans, but they're now correctly assuming being bought for fashion reasons.

There may be a point where you can “save by spending” but it’s typically a lot closer to the bottom of the range than the top.
