honestly can’t think of a timer in a traditional video game that i’ve played recently that was super memorable, but i will say that the timers in the titular witch trials of manosaba are a great argument for adding a little bit of interactivity to a visual novel, specifically for conveying emotion
I find it funny when people talk about how games are this art form that can make you feel emotions, but then you bring up something like wanting more games to have timers & people will say its bad design "because it makes me anxious" So emotions only allowed through story, not gameplay. Got it lol.
