We don’t see much of the hateful rhetoric here, but it’s hard to overstate how extensive and extreme Islamophobic messaging is over on X—often led by right-wing accounts with massive followings. It constitutes stochastic terrorism against prominent Muslims and against Muslim-Americans generally.

Good and important messaging, but it is striking how Muslim candidates are repeatedly defamed as “terrorists” and then have to turn around and issue such statements when there is no similar expectation that Christian or Jewish candidates need to do the same for their Muslim-American constituents.

El-Sayed: "My commitment to Jewish safety is the same commitment that I have to the safety of my own daughters. Because if there is one question of political philosophy that ought to animate us all, it's what would we do if we treated all our kids like they were all of our kids?"

If you're not able to straightforwardly state that all Jewish Israeli political leadership, from the far right through Netanyahu to the so-called "opposition" support genocide and the permanent subjugation of Palestinians, why would I or anyone else treat you as a good faith and honest ally on this?

A gentle observation: Some of the same older Black voters in Detroit who are being shaded for not supporting Abdul El-Sayed in the primary sent Rashida Tlaib to the House. And keep sending her there. 🤯 Yes, her district encompasses all of Dearborn *now,* but not in 2018. All politics is local.

"Not only are these concerns getting ignored, both India’s union and state governments are extending subsidies to a sector which will create few jobs, lesser tax revenues and do little to help India move up the ladder in AI." I imagine bribery is involved. #India www.carboncopy.info/how-should-i...

Okay, then they should be putting a hell of a lot more pressure on the regime to stop cracking down on the protesters who came out on the streets to support the movement, like they allegedly promised the CJP. & for Shah & Modi to step down for what the brutal violence they inflicted on protesters.

#CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said the decision was taken because “what India needs right now is a pressure group”. The campaign would hold discussions about the government’s #EthanolBlendedPetrol programme and rising unemployment, he said. scroll.in/latest/10948...
