In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

Me: "I just submitted some invoices, my Start Playing games are all filled, and I got a bonus from my last photo gig. Financial stability month is a go." Also Me: *promptly breaks glases*

Watched S4E1 of SNW last night, and I really enjoyed the pace of the episode. “We followed a distress cal. The thingy did a bad. All our thingies are offline and we don’t know where we are, but we’ve got a working shuttle. We’re in the shuttle descending into the atmosphere." All in 5 minutes.

A cinematic shot bathed in an intense orange light, depicting three figures on horseback in a barren, rocky landscape. On the left, a rider in a cowboy hat and long coat is mid-action, swinging a lasso high in the air. To the right, two other riders in Western attire sit on their horses, facing toward the first rider as if watching or approaching.

I had an amazing week in Canada, the highlight easily being the two days I spent with a pair of lovely families and their friends in Kingston. Paul and Annie: thank you for welcoming me into a joyous affair on a picture-perfect day.

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” - Matthew 6:5 Neat book. She should try reading it.

Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...

I saw The Oddessey this weekend on an IMAX screen. It was good. I didn’t feel much, and I didn’t shed a tear for anyone (even the dog), but I was entertained for the entire runtime. The only theater with tickets available was the “4D experience,” which is a very silly thing that adds nothing.

Promotional image for Unprepared Casters: Tomb of Corridors.
The background is a collage of old dungeons and dragons illustrations, in a dark golden yellow and black overlay. On top is torn graph paper with the text:
Stella Jo - “The sacrificial sisters of Alpha Kappa Mori” a smiling white woman with short black hair, dressed in floral renaissance garb

There is a drawing of Stella with her hands on her hips, wearing a red jumpsuit covered in large white strawberries, wearing a blue coat and a cartoonishly large wizard hat with gold stars. She has a tiefling tail with gold ballet slippers dangling off the end, and is holding a stone and gold statue.

Stopped by Site 3 Colabtatory today with my blacksmith friends. It’s an old carriage house and the only place in Toronto that can run a gas forge in the city.

Canadians: "On fire, eh? No worries, we're coming down to help." Americans: "On fire? When you manage to put yourself out, we're suing you for the smoke."

A second ex-wife of the ICE agent who killed Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine has come forward. "If you were to ask me whether I believe David Brouillette is capable of this level of extreme violence, my answer is unequivocally yes."
