Stayed up late watching Michigan primary returns, so I went for a camera walk this morning.

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname
My county showed up, and I cannot wait to cast my vote for the good doctor in November.

Idk man I think a worker owned collective of journalists who aren't afraid to report complicated situations of harm in our industry is really good and I'd like to see it continue and hopefully one day expand. I'd love for said journalists to be able to earn a livable wage while doing it too. 💙

Me: "I just submitted some invoices, my Start Playing games are all filled, and I got a bonus from my last photo gig. Financial stability month is a go." Also Me: *promptly breaks glases*
Watched S4E1 of SNW last night, and I really enjoyed the pace of the episode. “We followed a distress cal. The thingy did a bad. All our thingies are offline and we don’t know where we are, but we’ve got a working shuttle. We’re in the shuttle descending into the atmosphere." All in 5 minutes.
I had an amazing week in Canada, the highlight easily being the two days I spent with a pair of lovely families and their friends in Kingston. Paul and Annie: thank you for welcoming me into a joyous affair on a picture-perfect day.
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.” - Matthew 6:5 Neat book. She should try reading it.
Evangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...
I saw The Oddessey this weekend on an IMAX screen. It was good. I didn’t feel much, and I didn’t shed a tear for anyone (even the dog), but I was entertained for the entire runtime. The only theater with tickets available was the “4D experience,” which is a very silly thing that adds nothing.

…can I forgo my defenders and just pick the green giant to step on me?
Things aren't great, let's have some fun
Stopped by Site 3 Colabtatory today with my blacksmith friends. It’s an old carriage house and the only place in Toronto that can run a gas forge in the city.
Whoever is explaining the rules to the board game should get to hold a gun.
Exactly two things have stuck with me since the Navy: how I fold my t-shirts, and the phrase “belay my last.”
Getting on the bus for the first leg of a 10 hour ride from Benton Harbor to London (Canada).
Canadians: "On fire, eh? No worries, we're coming down to help." Americans: "On fire? When you manage to put yourself out, we're suing you for the smoke."
A second ex-wife of the ICE agent who killed Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine has come forward. "If you were to ask me whether I believe David Brouillette is capable of this level of extreme violence, my answer is unequivocally yes."
She was a radiant birthday girl last night.
Happy 80th mom. Keep dancing forever 🥳
I am packing for a 10 hour bus ride tomorrow. Wish me luck and happiness.
