As someone increasingly fascinating by the technical aspects of theatre, I'm impressed that, to a construction site in Scarborough, the Prime Minister has brought four EXM Mobile speakers & a stage monitor controlled by an M32R mixing console, plus a 43" Samsung display off of which to read remarks.

Contrary to popular belief, though we may be going through a tough time, a restructuring, and a little bit of a financial ~storm~ @pressprogress.ca is not dying. We have a lot of fight left in us, and a desire to keep building something good.

I think Canada’s legal community does not adequately grasp the extent to which the legal system is being misused by performative dorks on the Internet

Actually takes my breath away how cruel some people are. Like genuinely devoid of empathy and will kick kind people when they’re down (with glee) — and some of these people still get paid to voice their brain’s broken, sociopathic thoughts. Really fucked up, man. Truly.

But I'm burying the lede! I stepped down from PressProgress at the start of this week. Trolls are celebrating, but that's a proof point of how much my journalism got under their skin I left on my own terms, was not fired or laid off. It was not due to "financial pressures" or a lawsuit. I'm A-OK 👍

Luke does incredible work, and this is exactly the kind of public oversight we need so critically right now, with democracy under sustained attack. Definitely subscribe!
