it’s super fun being someone who has always loved new technology living in an era that makes me want to never play a game made after 2000 ever again and be buried with a mountain of cassettes

what’s the best local music player these days? I find foobar2000 frequently skips especially at the beginning of the file, which is extremely unhelpful for checking if my exports are in good shape (can’t trust that glitches are file issues) or auditioning samples (short file + glitch at start = bad)

huh, my track Burn is twelve plays away from being my first with >1,000 plays on Spotify. seems to get on daylists just enough to keep accumulating plays. that would be cool to have around the album’s third birthday.

the coolest thing about catching HFMD from the kids is that my throat feels like it’s on fire if I dare eat anything with flavor. or drink cold water. or do anything. 0/10 would not recommend.

the new song is good but the whole process of releasing it has been so cursed, I've had reasons to take it down and resubmit it to Symphonic twice (including the stupid Omnisphere thing earlier) and I kept getting sick every time I had a good chunk of time to work on it. good times.

Just found out I sent a song to my distributor that was missing a part because Omnisphere randomly decided to lose its authorization and went silent. No hardware changes, no major software changes. Fuck DRM.

starting to see Claude-made UI fucking everywhere and it's kind of maddening. like, once you see it, you can't unsee it. I'm not someone who becomes furious upon seeing a CLAUDE dot md file in a GitHub repo, but it's just so low effort.

really disappointed to see people uncritically cover the m64 like it isn't from the company that released a game boy clone proudly made from the same metal used for attack drones. did everyone just memory hole palmer luckey because they wanted yet another way to play n64 games?

why are iPad multitasking and window management still so fucked there are like three different ways to resize windows and some apps support some but not others, and how an app open feels like RNG least intuitive Apple product I’ve ever owned

I know part of the appeal of Bluesky is that there's no default algo, but I'm not sure people needing to repost their posts multiple times for visibility is a huge improvement. post at the wrong time and no one is seeing it, just like the good old days?
