Meet the ARENAS Associate Partner: University of Trento (UniTrento).

The ARENAS exhibition Going Extreme: How Extremist Narratives Are Destroying Democracies has been translated into Catalan. This latest version of the exhibition opened in Escaló, in the Pyrenees yesterday, as part of DANSÀNEU - Festival de Cultures del Pirineu - dansaneu.cat.

Understanding the language and structures behind extremist narratives is the first step towards recognising and addressing them.

ARENAS researchers Ana Yara Postigo Fuentes and Julien Longhi presented their latest research, "Forensic-Linguistic Mapping of Extremist Narratives in French Political Discourse", at the 6th European Conference of the International Association for Forensic and Legal Linguistics -@iafll.bsky.social.

On 23 June, Professor Béatrice Fracchiolla, leader of ARENAS Work Package 5, presented her research on hate speech and verbal violence in public debate to the Parliamentary Alliance against Hate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

Rolf Kailuweit, from ARENAS Partner Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, recently delivered a lecture as part of the Anxiety Culture Network (ACP) Lecture Series: Uncertain Times - Their (Re)Presentation in Language, Discourses and Narratives, in Kiel, Germany.

The ARENAS Consortium gathered in Helsinki last week for its Annual Meeting and General Assembly, hosted by the University of Helsinki @helsinki.fi. Across three days, partners came together to exchange knowledge, collaborate on project activities, and strengthen consortium connections.
