Today I learned about The Bag Lady from Castle Rock who is not homeless (so they say) and has a nice car (so they say) but sets up in front of stores and begs for rides then THREATENS TO PEE OR POOP IN YOUR CAR UNLESS YOU GIVE HER MONEY. There is a FB group that tracks her. She's in Arvada today.

my dad is 90, my mom almost 89. they live on opposite sides of the country. neither one liked cats until recently. my dad is so worried that his cat will pre-decease him, and also worried what will happen to his cat if he goes first. otoh my mom's cat died this week and now she feels like giving up.

stuff that bothers me: most tv commercials have music background. once you notice it, you can't un-notice it. otc meds are usually EXTRA STRENGTH. it's difficult to find just plain old regular strength. saying "and I"--when you should say "and me"--because you think it sounds more posh.

years ago, I did an adsense thing on my website or something I can't even remember, and connected it with my youtube account. then youtube instituted a subscriber minimum for monetization so I deleted the adsense. anyway they just sent me a form to claim my $89. I guess that makes me a creator!

I was looking up an old 1975 phone book from my home town. Not only was it last name, first name but also first names of the kids and their birth years!! holy moly.

I watched LOTR again this week. Usually the "you bow to no one" scene makes me sob but I found myself getting weepy at "This day does not belong to one man, but to all. Let us together rebuild this world, that we may share in the days of peace." One day (soon?) we will rebuild this world.
