I re-watched “Batman and Robin” for the first time since I was a kid. I realize now, that it’s kind of a 90s version of 60s Batman? It knows it’s silly and ridiculous. I actually thought it holds up pretty well. It’s very comic booky in a way that other Batman movies don’t have much of anymore.
The Joker commits his greatest crime, being the first person in Gotham to jump the turnstile. The social contract of paying for the train falls apart soon after and public transportation has never recovered in Gotham city since.
People don’t realize that the reason why the joker commits so many crimes is to be able to afford his interior decorator. Sourcing a joker themed rug was nearly impossible in 1942.
In hindsight, filling the bathtub with pop-rocks, was not my best idea.
