I currently have 7 VHS tapes of George of the Jungle, but before I moved out of Ohio a few years ago I had about 25 tapes of The Mummy and another 7-8 tapes of The Mummy Returns
Name physical media you purchased more than once.
have i mentioned chicago is the best city in the world lately
Current* conditions near Chicago, IL:
i'm sick of the liars and the bull shit you see on social media. taco bell is NOT the same 4 ingredients wrapped in different shapes. they actually innovate the menu a lot. but you won't see them say that on the fake fucking news
THE CHICAGO SKY FINALLY PULL OUT THE WIN IN A CLOSE GAME Sydney Taylor with the dagger, because of course it had to be her; she’s been such a breath of offensive fresh air for this team
I’ll pick a Leia moment for this, specifically the moment in Episode IX where we found out she began her own Jedi training. Such an exciting new door to open for her story, and I LOVE the design of her lightsaber hilt.
Happy release day to Legacy by @authoroux.bsky.social! Going in my Top 10 novels the more I dwell on it. Check out my review 👇. But also....quote this post with your favorite Leia and/or Rey moment/line for an entry in our (US only) giveaway of the book! Ends July 31 at 11:59pm CST. #StarWarsBooks
Every day I wake up and try to make the world a better place for him. I love you, Mr. Ohio.

🔥 HELL IS REAL 🔥 OHIO IS BLACK AND GOLD MO FARSI IS PISSED CINCY IS EVIL
Not enough people know this, but the ideal Saturday night consists of a Rick Steves marathon on your local PBS station’s tertiary channel before swapping the screen over to an important soccer slate (Hell is Real babyyyyy)
Middlesbrough, do I have a signing announcement video idea for you!
🇺🇸🔴 BREAKING: Middlesbrough is set to sign USMNT midfielder Sebastian Berhalter from the Vancouver Whitecaps, per sources. Deal agreed. Berhalter off to Boro. Fee around $2m, rather than Berhalter leaving for free in 5 months when contract expires. www.nytimes.com/athletic/746...

We visited the Vonnegut Museum and Library on July 4, just before I was already planning on reading Slapstick next, and the typewriter they have on display there is believed to be the one KV wrote it on! Pretty cool timing (and a neat little museum).
Slapstick A weird sort of fictional autobiography peppered with and introduced by Vonnegut’s own autobiographical musings, I can see why this one has a panned reception—but it worked for me. I’d vote for a platform like Lonesome No More!

lol imagine being a spanish fan tonight staying up all night to party, flying back home tomorrow, and then having to go back into the office 2-3 weeks from now
Whimsical thing that sounds like I’m just being fantastical or making things up but is 100% true: I touched a cloud today
if we're going to live in a new gilded age we may as well have a pop culture revival. biking everywhere. reading decadent fiction. self-improvement. mysticism. sitting around in parlors playing games. reacting to fast fashion and AI by taking up fiber arts and printmaking. gardening.
This is a politician who understands that this is not an indulgence, it's an investment. Every public space where you can have fun and not spend any money is probably more of a crimebuster than 100 cops.
This summer, we kept the lights on all night, every night, at five soccer fields across New York City. This was the scene at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday night.
When visiting Taco Bell becomes a righteous act of propaganda defiance, that is very convenient for me, a person who was already there anyway
The Taco Bell finger pointing is a psyop to redirect attention from the real culprit, the deregulation and lack of oversight in our food supply
I’ve lived in Indianapolis for a whole year as of this weekend and the only good things it has offered my personal life are: - access to IMAX 70mm films - currently avoiding the worst of the air quality issues (as opposed to my beloved Chicago and Columbus, who are both getting smoked out)
Well, what we really need is a... Agamemnomenon! A what? AN AGAMEMNOMENON! 💅
More and more people are saying it: EVERY CONFERENCE CHAMPION DESERVES ACCESS TO THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF 🗣️
If Tony Pettiti were in charge of World Cup expansion, 36 of the 48 teams would have been from Europe. You want a fun and exciting ride? Actually expand access and invite the underdogs. A piece I was born to write: What CFP expansion could learn from from the World Cup. www.espn.com/college-foot...
