I’ll pick a Leia moment for this, specifically the moment in Episode IX where we found out she began her own Jedi training. Such an exciting new door to open for her story, and I LOVE the design of her lightsaber hilt.

We visited the Vonnegut Museum and Library on July 4, just before I was already planning on reading Slapstick next, and the typewriter they have on display there is believed to be the one KV wrote it on! Pretty cool timing (and a neat little museum).

The placard on the case reads: Vonnegut Typewriter One of our most treasured artifacts from Kurt Vonnegut is this Smith Corona typewriter that he used in the 70's. It is believed that he typed his novel Slapstick on this typewriter. It is on loan to us from the Vonnegut family.

Slapstick A weird sort of fictional autobiography peppered with and introduced by Vonnegut’s own autobiographical musings, I can see why this one has a panned reception—but it worked for me. I’d vote for a platform like Lonesome No More!

I’ve lived in Indianapolis for a whole year as of this weekend and the only good things it has offered my personal life are: - access to IMAX 70mm films - currently avoiding the worst of the air quality issues (as opposed to my beloved Chicago and Columbus, who are both getting smoked out)
