In Between

From Betty: physical painting (no use of AI) oil painting on canvas 30 × 40 cm | 2026 Inspired by Metamorphosis, In Between explores transformation as a continuous state rather than a fixed destination. The painting evolved through an intuitive process of layering, interruption, and reconstruction. Gestures emerged, collided, and were partially concealed, leaving traces of earlier forms beneath new movements. Areas of density gradually dissolved into softer passages, while fragmented marks reappeared in altered relationships. Rather than depicting metamorphosis literally, the work explores its underlying tension: the space between dissolution and emergence, where one structure loses its identity while another has yet to fully take shape. In Between exists within that suspended moment—neither what was, nor what is yet to become. From Robin: Betty's wild abstract style within "In Between" was exactly what I was hoping for. The Lissajous path curves that I had previously used in Metamorphosis were a perfect fit for her colourful swipes and collisions. Take your time, let this one sink in. The space in between is never empty.

A Winter Within

A world can exist inside the smallest of things. Within the spiral of a snail’s shell, an endless winter unfolds — silent forests, falling snow, and a landscape suspended in time. | The storm wheels around the house, the wind howls, the roots intertwine, and the sky changes its colors. The house will stay. Storms arrive and storms depart, yet the house endures. | . . Drawn by hand with a Rapidograph pen, the artworks were scanned frame by frame and assembled into a looping video-art GIF. The same drawings appeared earlier in a fully video-based work. In this version, code was used to alter, color, and animate them into a new piece, with some of the effects arising partly by chance through generative processes. . . A World Within Me

This artwork portrays the inner world of a human being—a world filled with peace, life, and hope, quietly growing within. A little house surrounded by nature, a blue sky, a shining sun, and a peacefully sleeping cat symbolize the simplicity and beauty of life’s precious moments. It feels as though everything that brings us comfort, safety, and happiness has found a home within the heart. The plants growing from the woman’s body represent the deep connection between humans and nature, as well as personal and spiritual growth. Her loose hair and peaceful expression convey a sense of freedom from the noise of the outside world, as if she has closed her eyes to listen to the gentle voice of her inner self. “A World Within Me” reminds us that sometimes, finding peace does not require traveling far away. All we need to do is return to ourselves and rediscover the little garden hidden within us. 🌱☀️
