Put AI in your app but make it invisible. None of this shit: AI✨ or Chat with BubbaBot 🤖 Make it invisible. Just make a product. Use AI for the non-deterministic bits to glue the experience together. Don't make AI *THE* experience. How long will it take product managers to learn this?

The more I heal, the less ambitious I feel. Like, I'm enough. Peace is enough. Ya know?
I feel the same. This is why I've been apprehensive about getting my BS in AI Engineering, despite the degree requiring *more* rigorous math than CompSci. Calc 1, 2, 3 Discrete Maths 1, 2 + applied Discrete Linear Algebra + all the same DSA classes from CS
Sorry, but if your title is "AI Native Engineer", I will most likely think less of you.
I had to log into X for the first time in 2 years to cancel a sub. It was sad to see so many folks in the Laravel community still hanging out at that nazi bar. I only had about 5K+ followers, but I worked hard for that tiny audience. I stood on business and deleted my content & I'm proud of that.
I like how my professional choices are now: A) Stay employed but be waterboarded by AI forever B) Sleep under a bridge.
I only get my news from a single daily summary email now. Doomscrolling is out. Long form essays are in. I check in here once a day for a few minutes to share or reply. No scrolling w/o agenda. Screentime down 56% Anxiety down infinite %. I am done being ExtremelyOnline™
My one rule with AI in the workplace: I never use it to communicate with other humans. Slack messages clearly authored by AI are rampant in my workplace. The authenticity of intentional, thoughtful messages written by a human being cuts through all of it like a knife. There's lots of opportunity.
With a healthy grain of salt, I used to generally enjoy DHH's rebellious style even if I didn't agree with it all the time. Looks like he's slipping into some weird dark places now. Don't make anyone your hero, especially in tech.
Just in case you still use any Basecamp products, DHH is crashing out about his AI product gently pointing out that it’s bad for him to have extermination fantasies about the Roma people.
Let’s be honest, we’ve been rubber stamping PRs way before AI 🫣 Guilty 🙋♂️
Not that I'm saying you shouldn't have a human review the code in general, but like... AI is way better at reviewing code than I ever have been.
My youngest picked this for movie night and I’m pretty sure this was made as some money laundering or tax write off
Imagine if your favorite YouTube channels never made a video because a channel you don't even like already existed.
The best programmers are they ones that can talk to people in a way that can understand
For the love of god just pay teachers wtf are we doing
A spokesperson explained that over the past two years, Realbotix has built a new team focused on education, health care, and wellness applications, and that Realbotix and RealDoll do not share employees, payroll, physical locations, or technology. nysfocus.com/2026/07/14/n...
If you are hypothetically chained to Facebook because of neighborhood & school announcements, I hypothetically may have gotten BrowserOS & Hermes to pull Facebook group activity into a section of my daily email without having to actually wade through that muck. The promised land is finally here.
Today I started a math refresher course as a first step towards leaving tech. What a weird feeling. It's kind of eye opening how much we weave working in tech into our own identity (especially here).
Hot summer day in the Raleigh suburbs. Something physical in the world getting done, like mowing my grass, just hits different these days.
How many millions and millions of tokens being wasted that could've been saved by using something like this: ls-lint.org
ls-lint
An extremely fast file and directory name linter - Bring some structure to your project filesystem
