As US citizen, I find this heartbreaking. As one who has studied rhetoric and watched leaders in difficult circumstances, I have only admiration for what M Carney is saying—and doing—here. "We cannot accept what they've offered, and we will not give what they've asked." www.cpac.ca/headline-pol...

After decades of free spending, Washington is facing some unpalatable choices

As the national debt surpasses $40 trillion, lawmakers may soon be compelled to make some long-deferred choices that will leave few Americans unscathed.

Not only yours, German ones too, such as BioNTech. But yes, science is international business. I just don't like it when people like Trump claim that all good is coming from the USA! (Not America, as America is more. Like Canada, USA, Mexico in North America, etc.)

It’s worse than this. Having been in the room with many of them (long ago, before I knew they were psychopaths), the tycoons who are left running the industry have an active contempt for ordinary people, including their own workers. They actively want to oppress, control and punish them.

Tech execs do not have, like, a theory of mind for people who aren’t tech execs. If they did, they wouldn’t be so frequently baffled by how repulsive normal people think their whole deal is right now
