I expected nothing, yet I can never be let down because of what I got out of these shorts whether or not they get to be a show. There’s already a growing amount of pilots, shorts, and what-not beyond cable networks and streaming to fill that void either way, so I see it a win-win regardless.

‘Cartoon Cartoons’ was a shorts program, not a pilot program, according to ‘A For Angel’ creator Chime Merra. Creators were specifically instructed to make self-contained, one-shot stories, with shorts split between 7-minute stories and shorter interstitials.

One or two series after another, I got to finish The Bad Guys book at last. While radically different from the movies out so far, I feel the books nicely capture the 2000s vibes I got from CN and Nick back then. It also has a more sound ending than that of Amphibia’s too, so there’s that. 9.5/10

So… Cow and Chicken + I Am Weasel… Between the final few HB shows made as CN originals during its early years, I’d say both ended up being the most consistently inventive and funniest without bringing in a big decline or set of setbacks. They remained great through and through… 9.5/10
