Something I'll never understand - if I want to make substantial enough changes to my house, it has to go through a neighbourhood consultation process, but someone on my block can buy a vehicle that significantly increases the chances one of my kids gets run over.

Which vehicles most endanger the drivers of other cars? Giant pickup trucks — and the Dodge Charger Source: www.iihs.org/news/detail/...

In which an Urban Arrow is called “agile” and “zippy” 😂 I guess everything is relative! Great review of Bunch

*Bunch Bike Review* Now that we've owned our @bunchbike.com e-cargo bike for some time, I wanted to write a threaded review of my thoughts and experience. This will no doubt leave out many details that others will wonder about, but I hope some of you will get useful information here. 1/

"We are trying to have CNN go on a normal path." It should make everyone's blood run cold to hear the brazenness of Trump's feeling of power & control over a *news org* (as David Ellison waits in the wings to bring the hammer down w/the Paramount/WBD merger). 📺 t2m.co/2wQ6GkdK

TAPPER: I know you don't want to talk about any other issues out of respect for Lindsey Graham, but we would love to have you back sometime bc I do have a lot of other questions TRUMP: Sure. We're trying to have CNN go on a normal path T: I'm on a normal path right here, sir TRUMP: Good. You are.

In which a sitting US opposition (Dem) senator thinks Canadians are being unreasonable for, let me get this right, not buying US wine when the US President has repeatedly threatened Canada’s sovereignty and has imposed sector-killing illegal tariffs on multiple Canadian industrial sectors? Right.

New piece at the Globe and Mail! Despite their reputation, young people aren't more spendthrift than past generations. They drink less, they smoke less, they spend less on clothes, and housing takes up an increasing amount of their income. Read here:

Despite their reputation as spendthrifts, today’s young adults are quite frugal

Older generations have logged the largest rises in spending in recent years, Statistics Canada survey shows

Unimpressed with the apparently Mom and Pop parking operator at Holy Cross Surgical in Calgary. Not AHS Parking, no website/app to pay at, no HTTPS support on website (www.hpark.ca), and despite prominent (ex-Impark?) signage about "Pay by Phone" no method to do so. Be warned 1/

Spotted at Fort Qu’Appelle Coop. (1 block away the Museum has 2 destination chargers, the Post office a 3rd, and the nearby Little Black Bear FN owned gas bar has 2x 250 kW shared ChargePoint L3). EVs and chargers are everywhere unlike my pre 2024 road trips here.

How bad are the skeeters in Saskatchewan? Exhibit A: I tapped my windshield from the inside to smash one, and cracked it ;) (Very likely a filled chip on outside created a weak spot. Inside is smooth, crack is on exterior)
