I keep seeing the “reminder don’t use Adobe here are the alternatives” image going around and folks, the problem is not just that Adobe sucks, the problem is they’re blocking legal access to decades of art files utilized by individuals and entire teams
swapping programs is like swapping from oil paint to watercolor.... and if you have a full supply of oils, a team who specializes in oils, and a client that is expecting oil paintings in a few months.. we cant just be reprogrammed! it takes time to make new workflows, muscle memory and nuances
Also everyone suggesting software like Procreate Dreams, Toonsquid, or Calipeg… These are iPad only. There are extreme limitations to what they can do, especially when u consider that Flash is desktop software with lots of support. For those suggesting piracy, that’s not the point. Grow up.
People love to hate Animate, but it's capable of doing things faster and cheaper than just about any other software out there. Harmony is a much more powerful program, but for basic tasks you use a hammer, and Animate was that hammer. As we know, Adobe hates its customers.
