That's a funny way of saying they kicked out transgender members. Little trans girl scouts can't be scouting because the organisation would collapse under litigation funded by a deep pocketed billionaire. Long-standing members of the WI, leave because we can't afford to fight. Cruel. Evil.

Many organisations have already made changes they say comply with the law and are in line with the code, such as the Women's Institute and Girl Guiding, which had already said membership was for females.

Unworkable. Cruel. Discriminatory. So many people are going to be hurt because of this law. If you want your blood to boil more, read through this article. It is absolutely biased nonsense.

No barrister in British legal history has ever faced contempt proceedings over the content of a closing speech. Rajiv Menon now faces prison for words that barristers have recited in court for centuries. Stop the Prosecution of Rajiv Menon KC - Save Britain's Juries tinyurl.com/SaveOurJuries

Save Britain's Juries

Juries have had the right to acquit based on their conscience for centuries. Now, a barrister is facing jail just for mentioning it in court. Add your name to help save Britain's juries.

One person told Netpol that some police officers were also encouraging people to commit an offence by going up to them and asking if they supported Palestine Action, and then arresting them if they said yes.

Notice how incredibly silly it is that we have the police warning people not to commit terrorist offences, waiting quietly for them to reveal a t-shirt or something, and then arresting old people under anti-terror powers, who quite placidly accept being arrested.

NEW: Sir Jonathon Porritt, arrested under Terrorism law outside Westminster
Magistrates Court.
As police escorted him away he said "I am a supporter of Palestine Action, trying to save lives is not terrorism, exposing this Governments complicity in genocide is not terrorism."

My friend Mohammed suffers debilitating nerve pains from an injury and the lack of pain medication (and anti inflammatories) greatly reduces his quality of life. We’re literally talking hundreds of dollars for meds that cost only a few bucks here. Impossible, criminal, unforgivable.

Dr James Smith, who is currently working in Gaza, explains that Israel is continuing to control the entry of medical equipment & medication into Gaza, leading to extreme shortages in basic supplies like gauze & paracetamol The genocide continues.

Mohammed had his scan; ideally he’d leave Gaza for treatment but I don’t see that happening. He needs medication to suppress inflammation and deal with terrible nerve pain. Any contribution would help because medication is incredibly expensive because of the blockade. Please give generously! 🙏

Mohammed has a fracture in his cervical spine, his C2 vertebra, and his condition is getting very hard to bear and increasingly dangerous. He is caring for his 3 small children with very little support after his beloved Rania died, as did much of his family. www.gofundme.com/f/urgent-aid...

The way I understand the politics of the part 15 years: social movements arose out of the detritus of neoliberalism to contest oligarchy, patriarchy and white supremacy. But, the contest was largely discursive. The fascist backlash has used hard power to try to shut it all down.

Wes Streeting has been made Defence Secretary. In his released correspondence with Peter Mandelson, he said: “Israel is committing war crimes before our eyes.” Journalists should ask him: 1) Does he stand by that? 2) What legal obligations does the UK therefore have?

"Shabana Mahmood staying as Home Secretary to presumably continue her appalling record of performative cruelty towards migrants and refugees is a warning sign that Burnham has not learnt the lessons from Starmer's failure," says Zack Polanski
