Agree with Tressie here, and would add there are other organizations that work with left challengers, like @justicedemocrats.com, that deserve credit for recruiting and supporting candidates like Donovan McKinney. DSA is amazing, but they’re (fortunately) not the only game in town.

I know we are chalking the success of some leftist candidates almost entirely to the DSA. However, it seems like the more common theme is that these are candidates with organizing experience?

This is corny, but I remember when @wewill2026.bsky.social and his fellow Sunrise co-founders met in a training space to start planning a social movement organization. It’s super inspiring to see normal people like Will who believe in the people stepping into leadership. We can win.

The future of the Democratic Party is proportional representation. The left and centrists should have their own parties which win representation in Congress that’s equivalent to their support in the public. We deserve a better system that enables more parties—and people—to win representation.

Proportional representation, explained

With proportional representation, parties don't win before elections even begin. And they can't manipulate the system to their advantage.

The U.S. Senate is about to advance the nomination of a man who has helped Trump unconstitutionally evade releasing the Epstein files, and tried to use federal funds to pay insurrectionists. If the purpose of the U.S. Senate is to defend against tyranny, it has failed in its purpose.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, BofA Enabled Epstein, Wyden Report Says

Democrat Ron Wyden cited nonpublic documents held by the US Treasury in a report that says banks delayed reporting suspicious financial transactions and calls for tougher anti-money-laundering rules, ...

Blanche should be blocked for IRS/slush fund AND - targeting Comey, James, Hearn, Powell, Walz, Frey, MOCs - Epstein - payouts to Flynn, Page, Babbitt, Vaughn - rejecting ethics advice to recuse from Trump cases - “war” on judiciary - “cleaning house” of DOJ personnel who worked on Trump cases

The craziest thing about Fauci’s diary is that Donald Trump is illegally refusing to release further evidence that he participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes.
