No matter how well IGN has done over the years, Ziff Davis just keeps tightening the belt. Especially now, with cost of living going up so much, there's really no excuse for such paltry raises for a hard-working group.
Today, the IGNCG sent this letter to our President of Ziff Davis Gaming & Entertainment to demand pay that reflects the rate of inflation in our contract. Please join us in asking @errorjustin.bsky.social, @peer-ign.bsky.social, @corradimus.bsky.social, and @yprough.bsky.social to pay us fairly.
When was the last time you said “gubernatorial” aloud? Say it now. Excellent word.
Fortune should be mortified—"A story by Lichtenberg sometimes starts with a prompt entered into Perplexity or Google’s NotebookLM, asking it to write something based on a headline he comes up with. He moves the initial drafts into a content-management system and edits the stories before publishing."
An AI Upheaval Is Coming for Media. This Journalist Is Already All In.
AI-assisted stories accounted for nearly 20% of Fortune’s web traffic in the second half of 2025. Most are written by Nick Lichtenberg.

more than anything else, journalists are very good at circling the wagons when other journalists are threatened. this just did not happen for gamergate. if you see someone being harassed and you're a cis white hetero guy, the best thing you can do is position yourself between them and abuse.
worst day of the year. hour stolen from night time given to the smug idiot breakfast eaters. the rise and shine clowns
I know this isn’t the Pokemon news of the day but man, this game was/is so slept on www.ign.com/articles/pok...

Mr. Walker would usually fall asleep if you had him for an earlier slot. He always made everyone stop at 7/11 so he could get a Milky Way. One summer, there was a rumor that he died. When he walked through the high school the first day of the year, everyone thought they saw a ghost. He was unfazed.
okay one of my best friends just told me her driver's ed teacher was named wait for it Mr. Streetman ... and now, because the horrors are horroring, I wish to hear from Bluesky about all your great and bad and terrible and fun driver's ed stories
As a renter for the past 13 years, I just have to say: the security deposit is the fee you pay to decorate
Do you know the pain of finding the absolute perfect beach apartment, one that ticks every box, is on the cutest street with the perfect layout and so much natural light… and then the landlord calls you, after hyping it up ALL DAY, to say, “oh sorry I already approved someone”
Emerging from post-Sundance hibernation to declare: I'm on the lookout for a new full-time job. Seeking Chicago-based or remote editing and writing opportunities—don't have to be in the field; I'm extremely open to copywriting, technical writing, marketing stuff, etc. Email and portfolio in profile.
And what if Lady Gaga showed up during the Super Bowl halftime show to perform underrated “Born This Way” banger “Americano”? What THEN?
I am no longer in entertainment media. I am no longer in games media. None of this has any bearing on my day to day anymore. None of this, honestly, really matters. That said… Why do you drop news of a Baldur’s Gate 3 HBO show after work hours on a Thursday on DEADLINE?!
Good morning! February marks the 10th anniversary of Stardew Valley. I had the great pleasure of speaking to ConcernedApe ahead of the occasion about the last ten years and his plans for the future. It's a nice long one, please enjoy: www.ign.com/articles/sta...
My great nerd shame is that I’ve never done a Star Trek, but I’ve gotta say, I’m really enjoying this Starfleet Academy
I am an unabashed Christopher Nolan stan, but I do think it would be really funny if The Odyssey just sucks
Fun fact: I first worked with Alyssa at Variety, and she was so good that when I left for IGN I said “damn, how do I get Alyssa over here too?” So I can personally vouch for how adaptable, talented and creative she is and SO fun to work with. The STRONGEST of recommendations
Currently looking for work as a video producer but I truly have done it all: writing, editing, on-camera hosting etc. I just loveee pop culture & entertainment and I have a knack for yapping about it to anyone I can
Sorry to double dip on this announcement, but what was once a temp job is permanent as of today. Officially Letters Editor at the Los Angeles Times ✨ I’ve loved overseeing the Letters to the Editor section for the past nine months and now I get to keep doing it and I just think that’s neat.
Look Ma, new job! Will be editing opinions at LA Times for at least the next six months ✨
I should be devastated and all i can think about is that gd throw. That. Throw.
Even though the Bears lost this game, I hope we can find a way to not memoryhole that Caleb Williams play because it legitimately might be the best play by a QB I've ever seen.
This game also clearly showed Caleb is the real deal. Chicago finally has a Dude. He's the truth. As a Rams fan I was scared shitless of him when he had the ball. Not too many QBs I feel that way about.
To everyone cheering the Bears’ loss… I hope you enjoy a much more boring playoffs without us! Generational talent. Caleb fucking Williams.
No, but how.
