When people read books, does anyone really actually watch a little movie, quietly in their own head? Or does everyone just abstractly remember-imagine concepts and characters vaguely related, like this, as I suspect they do

Every year, I hope I get to finally try a Sweet 16 variety apple, and every year something goes wrong. The tree didn’t even blossom last year, and I thought this year only the Honeycrisp trunk did. But lo! a single Sweet 16 apple is pollinated.
