I'm ammused how companies try so hard to get our absolution for using AI. "We're only using it for pre-concept concepts. Only to change some colors. Only to try things. There will for sure be no AI in the finished thing. Please don't hate us. But let us continue using it, pleeaaase."
Oh no, I feel that Dokomi has reignited my love for Baldur's Gate characters... I guess you will have to deal with my cringe era a bit longer.
For me it was "I guess I have to get better at drawing men now" and it made me very happy to reach a point where I felt I was able to draw not only women I find hot, but also men that I find hot. π

Tired and happy after my first Dokomi. My biggest joy was spending the money I earned at other artists' tables. So I don't know how "profitable" it was for me, but my heart is full. π Thank you to everyone who came over and to our nice table neighbors and all the amazing people I got to talk to!

ChocoMingo π¦©@chocomingo.bsky.social Β· 2mo agoI'll say what Bluesky fails to address in v1.122 They've rolled out a new "adult content" tag applied on an entire account, hiding all their posts from users, including text posts, even if they may be SFW This update, while well-intentioned, defeats the whole purpose of the content filters system

So wait, is the new plan here that if an account has at least ONE nsfw post the whole account is considered nsfw and will not be shown to people who hide nsfw? Which is auto-on btw. And that while the auto-moderation system flags absolutely ANY picture of the female body as "explicit"? Sounds great.
If you have nsfw set to "hide" I implore you to set it to "warn". You still won't see anything except for a blurred post Otherwise once they roll out account-wide adult content labeling a whole lot of people including me are going to disappear from your timelines, even our sfw text posts

Some thoughts about this from the other site, specifically about Jorge: TV animation is in a really bad state right now between the rise of streaming, AI, and shorter attention spans. Very, very hard to get anything greenlit right now, and I promise I understand the fear that comes with that; butβ¦

Another day, another case of "creator you admired now actively endorses AI". I know so many great creatives struggling to find paying jobs right now, so I'm sure it happens to more "big and famous" people as well. Are they that desperate for money?

Why nothing ever get's finished: 1. "I need quick & cheap business cards to give away at Dokomi" 2. Made a quick layout out of my Patreon header 3. DONE...? 4. ... 5. "How about I print them with GOLD FOIL?" 6. Multiple hours of masking gold foil details in vector π
I think I finally have the will to draw back! Not me trying to force myself to draw/finish something, but the feeling "I have this idea and I want to draw it". It's insane how long it has been missing. I hope it stays for a while.
