JSX ATR42-600 (former Silver Airways N407SV, recently reregistered to N402JX) Santa Monica Airport
Rode along and did radios on an engine break in flight this evening. Plane seems to be doing well and all temps and pressures rock solid. Feels very, very fast banking at 180kts groundspeed and 1500ft.

Air to Ground Message: HELLO, WE HAVE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. CHEERS. Area: UK Type: Airbus A350-1000 A: #ac32b43a115 F: #f3fd5fb5def
I can't believe I'm saying this but this is my first ever flight on an airbus. Could I even call myself an avgeek until now? This A321Neo is certainly not bad at all.
After totality during the eclipse, I had maybe 30 seconds to grab these shots before the sun completely disappeared in the clouds
Just got finished editing this shot from this evening. More to come later.
Driving away from the solar eclipse, from Snæfellsnes to Reykjavík. Beyond insane traffic.
Standby for my eclipse photos in a few hours. I got really lucky.
Nasa's WB57 is filed to take off from Keflavik at 1500UTC (eclipse data gathering) in case you were wondering.
I spent some time at Udvar Hazy with the full day yesterday's delayed flight got me.
Apart from a 4+ hour delay that made me solidly miss my connection, my flight on United's 757-200 was pretty pleasant. Always nice to fly on the 757.

Back in San Francisco. More taiwan photos coming in the next couple days.
About a month ago, I set my dads Amazon account vehicle compatibility checker to a 1903 Ford Model A. He finally discovered it this morning while searching for replacement floor mats, and found it just as funny as I had imagined.
Forgive me for posting another F-104G. This one has around 4635 hours on it, and shot down a Mig-19. USAF 64-17770 ROC 4344
This one is fascinating: F-104G Starfighter, c/n 6044, USAF registration 62-12345, Danish AF R-345, ROCAF 4413. Now on display with one side disassembled at Taiwan's Aviation Education Exhibition Hall, in Kaoshiung.

Sun Country - N834SY, San Francisco Airport, March 2026.
To the guy at Oshkosh a few minutes ago who told the tower to have a safe flight, that was amazing.
This should be fun. Just got my solar filter. Anybody else going to be traveling for the eclipse next month?
