How Did People Become So Bad At Watching Movies?

Hi. On today's episode: Movies! We talk about movies. Specifically, the changes in Hollywood now that "Obsession" and "Backrooms" were big hits while the new Star Wars flopped, why media literacy when it comes to movies has gone down the drain, and why the Right is so bad at just watching movies normally. Note: this episode contains spoilers for "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," "Obsession," and "The Odyssey.” PATREON: https://patreon.com/somemorenews MERCH: https://shop.somemorenews.com YOUTUBE MEMBERSHIP: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvlj0IzjSnNoduQF0l3VGng/join Hosted by Cody Johnston Executive Producer - Katy Stoll Directed by Will Gordh Written by David Christopher Bell Produced by Jonathan Harris Edited by Gregg Meller Post-Production Supervisor / Motion Graphics & VFX - John Conway Researcher - Marco Siler-Gonzales Graphics by Clint DeNisco Head Writer - David Christopher Bell #SpiderMan #Obsession #MattWalsh For a limited time, save 20% on your first subscription order of AG1 Next Gen or AG1 Pro at http://DRINKAG1.com/SMN. I agree with every other part of this thread, but I hesitate to agree that "not recognizing that a character was recast between films" is equivalent to "not understanding the ending of the film despite it being the obvious conclusion to the movie you have just watched."

again... how are these people watching movies [classic case of the question "is this someone using their real name bragging about their ignorance or simply engagement bait under their real name", either way maybe social media was a mistake]

I watched Back To The Future 1 and 2 about 1,000 times as a kid. I never realized until watching them this week with my daughter that Marty's girlfriend was a different actress in 1 and 2.

Martyn Doust designed the device Nemik records his manifesto on in Andor, and based it on his first-ever Walkman. In the concept art Nemik is listening to “It’s Britney, Bitch”, “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, and “Teenage Dirtbag”.
