This one shot from the first Patlabor movie gave me this "butterfly" concept (a crystalline design image I chase in my head, but comes out crushed when I catch it); a very clear idea of something specific, albeit wholly different from the actual Labor in the scene.

Tonight's progress. Animating the rail. The camera angle will hide the model swap to the augmented arm. I hope. Have I programmed any of this gameplay system yet? Nope! So why am I making art assets for it? Well, how else will I know if it's fun? And I'm crazy. #CherubDev #UE5

Reopened my Mackintosh Art School 3D model project files from twelve years ago. Did a few test renders today at 4K resolution. The original model and animations were made using a really old version of #Blender3D, so I'm going to have to completely remake the interior cutaways.
