Had to get a new desktop and couldn't bear another piece of Ikea cardboard. Ended up spending too much effort on a slab of oak. Sandpapered by hand so it's all inconsistent, but was a lot of fun: could use little bits I'd learned in 3D graphics to figure out the rounding.
UK artist @aledthompson.bsky.social is doing a really fun series of birbs and they did a magpie for me, so I embroidered it for my sister! I did add a little length to the tail from the original, but I love how it turned out!
years after @flatoutgames.bsky.social sent us cascadia we finally played it. #khazrakoneeye did not want us to explore the pacific northwest. i out scored dee on wildlife but she massively out scored me on habitats. she won 81-79.
