If you show up to Bluesky without following anyone, you'll be treated to a series of posts about art, music, and dogs. If you show up to X without following anyone, you'll be bombarded with right-wing conspiracies and white supremacist slop. It's weird which one is seen as a "political bubble"
Absolutely stunning 9/10 review for Power Rangers Green by @paulallor.bsky.social and @gustaffovargas.bsky.social. Really love this gorgeous, thoughtful book and its quieter, gentler take on a postapocalyptic drama, really happy to see other folks getting it. aiptcomics.com/2026/08/04/p...
‘Power Rangers: Green’ #1 is a different vision of the post-apocalypse
Imagine a world where Tommy is the last living Power Ranger.

Fuck AI slop, I want my sense of wonder back...
one thing I miss from the pre-genAI days is that there was no questioning that human nonsense was simply human nonsense. a dog piloting a plane? some silly human toiled over that in photoshop. now, when something is nonsensical, we question if it’s ai and don’t get to enjoy it the same way.
I’ve been going through my game design notes and found a speech by the villain, a character that hates (and lacks) imagination. He puts it down as “nothing more than a combinatorial rehashing of reality.” I wrote that ~8 years ago and now the character feels like a semi-prescient proxy for AI slop.
PlayBound is a game about a 6-year-old boy named Kelvin whose parents have become fatally boring. And this is a thread about PlayBound where I’ll be dropping some updates as I rebuild the game in Godot ☺️
That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
I really hope this takes off. There needs to be a creative storefront marketplace that actually bans genai and drop shipping, and I hope it's a 100% ban. Etsy is completely ruined and not artist friendly. Much luck to Fybe! fybe.art
Good lord I wish some of you could read on this text based social media website.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."

At the end of the day what people keep asking for is the ability to know when something is or is not AI so they can make their own informed choices about how they interact with it. Hopefully tools like SynthID become widespread so it doesn't fall on the user to make their own determinations.
AI-generated label becomes mandatory in the EU
Companies creating or using AI-generated content have to label it clearly for users to know, as part of an EU guideline implemented on Sunday. #EuropeNews

Realizing we took this photo in the neighboring parking lot where the Twin Falls In-N-Out shooting happened this week. It was a quiet area, we felt safe there. I hate this feeling of “it could have been us” when literally everywhere in this country could be another shooter’s horrifying playground.
Poor little pug got her paw bitten by an ant and didn’t like it one bit 🥺
It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.
QRP with your most popular piece on bsky!! Love this one so much!! good colours hehe!! #art #illustration
QRP with your most popular piece on bsky ~ I have some others that were more popular, but they were mostly meme doodles and not full illustrations (e.g. Jimothy!). So this one's the top "piece" ☺️
