The best feedback I ever got was from a creative writing professor who said he usually highlights things to cut from student's pieces, but he couldn't find anything to cut in mine. I've always been an asshole editor insisting that every phrase builds the whole, red-lining anything that doesn't.

I just made a “grandpa shot” playing pool. That’s where the cue ball is almost perpendicular to a ball near the tail and you run it down the tail into the hole. When retired, my grandpa worked at the VFW bar and we would hang out with him And play pool. Wherever he is, he’s looking down proud.

I lost a pen with sentimental value yesterday. I think I left it in my hotel room in Austin. Kinda bummed about something, that in itself, isn't really significant.

Check this out. Apple's Music app moved the play controls and progress bar from the top of the app to float at the bottom. Now, there's nothing at the top. It's just blank. Meanwhile, the floating bar at the bottom obscures some content. What sense does this make?

We moved into a bigger house and moved my mom in with us, so we combined two houses into one, and there just isn't enough room for everything. And I got rid of so much stuff when we moved. Now I'm going through boxes and continuing to downsize.
