Today's unedited #WIPsnips comes from The Curse of a Stolen God I'm starting to learn from these WIP snips that I don't make my female characters have the easiest time when it comes to learning their role 🙈 #booksky #writingprompts #writesky

Chidi knew her role here was to create and guard Hell as one of its rulers, that, after all, is why she became. But more called to her than she would dare accept as truth in her heart. She yearned for life, for it to grow from the soil, swim in the waters and walk across the land. Something must be wrong, she thought; she was here to bring balance and vindication toward the humans who were destroying the overworld. She knew she had to bury these other feelings and focus on her duty, her fate and Felix. Who was she to argue against predetermination? To reject the glory of her position? She knew it couldn’t be; it must be residual observations from her time in the aethersphere. Create, Rule, Judge and Revive. Those were her commandments. That was her duty.

Today's #wipsnips is an unedited preview of Fruits of Her Labour #writesky #writingcommunity Delphine is feeling frustrated as everyone seems to be in on a secret she knows little about

Delphine took a minute to think on her words. She couldn’t help but get frustrated at the fact that everyone apart from her had had prior warning and information about her fate. “Well, you certainly know more than me then!” she huffed, instantly regretting being rude to those she sought help from. “If sacrificing my life as a quiet innkeeper is what it takes to save the world and Sarah..” Delphine choked on her words, with all the stress and adrenaline running through her system and her focus on finding the House of Hekate. Delphine had let Sarah's predicament slip her mind.

Debut - fruits of Her Labour

Life was normal. Predictable. Everything that most B&B owners like Delphine wanted. But a little more business wouldnt hurt. Or so she thought.

When an unexpected guest arrives, telling Delphine about witchcraft before mysteriously disappearing, Delphine is left to unravel the mystery of where Sarah went, what Grantor has to do with it, and how to come into her powers in time to save her missing friend.
