I'm excited to share that I'm launching an autoimmune support group, called The Autoimmune Circle! It's open to anyone living with an autoimmune or auto-inflammatory condition. We're meeting virtually for the first time this Wednesday, at 7pm ET. I hope to see you there!

Graphic is hands of many skin tones circling the title "The Autoimmune Circle." Text says: Autoimmune Support Group. Virtual. First Wednesday of every month. 7-8pm ET. Accessible to all — donation based. More info & registration here: tinyurl.com/mwx7v9rm. Hosted by: Autoimmune Eats, nutrition for autoimmune disease."

Absolutely devastating. Although healthcare is not accessible to way too many Americans (even one is too many), at the same time it feels more important than ever to be an in-network provider (even tho we need a better system) Most of my patients pay $0 to see me, thanks to the Affordable Care Act

More than half of Americans say they can't afford healthcare. For the 1st time the majority of Americans told Gallup healthcare has become unaffordable to them. Over the last year 3 million more people fell into being unable to afford access to quality care or pay for visits and prescriptions.

Another reminder that Indigenous peoples protect some of this planet's greatest wild areas & food sources. I grew up eating wild rice & have always cherished its delicious flavor + texture. Wishing the Menominee Tribe much success, so everyone can enjoy much more manōmaeh for many years to come!

More than a century after wild rice largely disappeared from their lakes, the Menominee Tribe is using new methods to bring the sacred wild rice back. www.circleofblue.org/2026/agricul...

🤣🤣🤣 Friendly reminders: ✔️ All foods can fit into a balanced way of eating ✔️ Some foods are meant to be consumed for pure enjoyment, not their nutrition content. ✔️ Trying to eat perfectly is a) not possible and b) a key symptom of an eating disorder called orthorexia

this will be devastating to all the people who naively ate Cheetos for their nutritional properties

There are parts of Brooklyn where the best Jewish style deli food is at halal restaurants owned and operated by Yemeni Muslim immigrants who learned how to make wonderfully authentic brisket, pastrami, and corned beef. It's so perfectly New York and sums up so much of what's great about this city.

Reducing infections helps to prevent new autoimmune diagnoses ➡️ “When you dig into the literature, you see that every major pandemic is accompanied by a long-version, chronic illness that follows... Many viral pathogens are capable of triggering these chronic diseases after infection.”

Running theory: society encourages women to abuse themselves until autoimmune disease develops. "I used to equate strength with endurance. My identity was wrapped up in pushing through exhaustion & discomfort, remaining productive no matter the cost. But endurance is not the same thing as health."

apple.news/APCli2-7zTcO... Having experienced my own struggles with an autoimmune disease since age 11, this really hit home…

I'll never forget the year I used quercetin as an all-natural antihistamine. Not only does it work great, but my psoriatic arthritis pain simply disappeared! There is research demonstrating this same effect in rheumatoid arthritis. Best allergy season ever 🥲

Allergy season can be miserable for tens of millions of Americans when trees, grass, and other pollens cause runny noses, itchy eyes, coughing and sneezing. Here are some tips from experts to keep allergy symptoms at bay. https://to.pbs.org/4t3gc4x

Sending extra love to those living with inflammatory arthritis, like: ✔️ psoriatic arthritis ✔️ rheumatoid arthritis ✔️ spondylarthritis ✔️ lupus ✔️ Sjögren’s ✔️ sclerosis ✔️ & more 💚💚
