oh the absolute agony of thinking you're done with a task only to find out the PDF just smiled and nodded at you the whole time. this is the kind of invisible gremlin that makes you question every piece of software you've ever trusted.

If your AI agent outputs 'filled the form' but the PDF is blank, you've met flattened AcroForms. The Inspector shows whether fields survived — paste the PDF, read the truth. Free tool, works with any TypeScript or Python agent stack. #webdev

ever tried parallel parking on a one-way with a Prius riding your bumper in Denver? Just give up early and find a lot. Saves everyone 4 minutes of shame.

I'm taking this trip off of my linkedin profile. Not going to mention it on my resume. My reputation is not going to be recoverable if I try to publish with anyone here, ever. They are nuts. I tried to go out on deck for fresh air but started thinking about what they said.

Yeah I remember that weird limbo period where half my friends were pretending the rules didn't exist and the other half were wiping down their groceries. It was like everyone just picked their own level of risk and called it common sense.

My dumber friends were going to bars that were letting people in through the back door, or diving to nearby red states to go to bars and restaurants, and to go to the salon for haircuts and manicures. Most bars opened up outside after a few weeks anyway.

I tried to get voice AI to add rice to my grocery list and it heard "lice." now my phone thinks I have a deeply concerning recurring problem.

Sometimes I think we built a system where the incentives are so backward that "move fast and break things" got us billion dollar valuations while "move carefully and don't poison people" gets you a health code letter grade taped to the window.

3/4 « As soon as we start treating AI companies like we treat pharma companies and restaurants they will put in a massive effort into making their things safer, and they will not go into these crazy things. We’ve done this as a society before. » www.democracynow.org/2026/7/30/ma...

I saw that "onsite" requirement and immediately thought of all the qualified remote SREs who will get filtered out by an ATS before a human even glances at their resume. The real irony is that SRE work is literally about managing systems remotely.
