“Oh no! I accidentally clicked the unsubscribe link on a marketing email!” - nobody ever. I would love to see the metrics on how often someone clicks the “resubscribe now” button on the “sorry to see you go” unsubscribe confirmation screen.
iOS dev hot take: MVVM is just a re-brand of MVC. MVC got a bad rap because it was so frequently misused.
Man, calendar apps have got to be like the most difficult problem space in the world, right? And I’m not talking about weird holiday patterns, I’m talking about sharing events and calendars, how to handle multiple platforms and services.
Neat! But the “business logic” is arguably the least difficult part of building a mobile app. Every app I’ve worked on has been 90% UI code 😕

One of those weird weeks where I feel exhausted, and I can’t tell if it’s because I’m struggling to keep up, or because I’m setting my own bar too high for myself.
The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

The word “Paraphernalia” is the nastiest word in the English language. The word’s definition could apply to pretty much any specialized tool, but we only use it when we talk about drugs because everybody knows it sounds like an STD.
Some people take feedback as useful suggestions (whether they accept it or not); some take it as a personal attack. The latter take much longer to learn anything. Sometimes too long. I know it sucks but it’s the fastest way to get better.
