CuttingEEG is doing great work encouraging researchers to present ongoing or even conceptualization-stage projects at their poster sessions. It creates a real opportunity for informal, but often most constructive, advice from experts in the field, at a stage when changes can still be applied 🧩

#Neuronus2026 — what a conference! Remarkable research and new perspectives for my PhD were brought in Krakow, ranging from hormonal balance to lucid dreaming during acoustic stimulation in sleep. Thank you, Organisers, for the travel grant support and for making our 'sleepy' symposium possible! 😄

A PhD student presenting her research results at the Neuronus 2026 conference. The slide shows that the study did not confirm the hypothesis that auditory feedback connections are more affected than auditory feedforward connections by decreased arousal states.

I dream of actually diverse teams in academia. Not “diverse”, but diverse-diverse. I want a systemic reform where every PI is legally obligated to hire a full-time physiotherapist for their lab. Mandatory. Non-negotiable. Grant-funded.

First week as a legit, full-time PhD student. Most striking observation? Even with 8 hours of sleep and a morning cardio workout, I can’t stop yawning. The brain simply can’t keep up with the oxygen demand. New biohacking idea for researchers: write your next grant proposal on a respirator.
