Plating marathon on a Sunday to help my PhD student Ömer assessing the culturable AMR reservoir in soil under different fertilization regimes. 4 antibiotics, 2 concs., 6 dilutions, 2 media. With replicates: 650 plates. And that‘s just 3 of 72 samples. No problem with a bit of good old skate punk 🤘

Two brand new BioStat bioreactors set up in on our fermentation lab and for the first in full effect. The bacteriocins group at UUlm is now ready to produce antimicrobial and antiviral peptides with all barrels firing from shake flasks to 10l vessels.
