I'm still working on the final touches to Razing Core before testing. Today I added support for Mega Drive/Genesis controllers, including alt-fire (you can use A/B or B/C for 1/2, and also X/Y/Z for bombing) and Start button for pause! #mastersystem #homebrew

I've added more debug options to Razing Core which can be used for practicing. These options are hidden by default but are easy to reveal. #homebrew #mastersystem

In the early 90s, Taito worked several times with illustrator and background artist Tomoaki Okada / 岡田有章 from the design studio Mecaman (known for their work on Gundam, Nausicäa, Speed Racer, etc.). _Rayforce / Galactic Attack _Gun Force (Master System version) _Darius Force (SFC) _Cyber Sterra 1/3

Someone asked me why Razing Core is not on other retro platforms. The game design and it's identity is heavily tied to the Master System limitations, it wouldn't make sense on the Mega Drive. I'm not against multiplatform games but I would prefer to make a new game for the MD instead.

Apart from the obvious polishing tasks, my theory on why the final 10% of a project feels like 90% is because you have to revisit all those minor TODOs you accumulated. Next time I'll try to avoid stacking up minor TODOs ✍️

In a somewhat related way, you should have a similar aim when collecting physical games. As a recovering collector, it can be so easy to start collecting what you like then creep into buying anything you don't own, just for the thrill. Now you have 100 bad games you'll never play.

So important so you don't spend more time going up n down rom lists than you do playing. If you'd find it difficult to curate manually, the Smokemonster/Everdrive packs with themed folder organization (best of homebrew, deep cut Japanese, top translated, 100 best insert genre etc) are a way to go.
