Interesting times. Infantino backs down. He’s never been weaker. We have two possible scenarios: a) football associations (probably led by UEFA) pile in to remove him. b) He rebuilds trust and all is forgotten. If a) it has to happen soon.

Important and surprisingly welcome development. The Asian confederation (who have always supported Infantino) join UEFA and CONCACAF opposing his plans. Their 47 votes added to UEFA and CONCACAF’s 65 would hold the balance of power out of the 211 votes.
