The 2026 annual conference of the IRTG examines the history and culture of the Baltic Sea region through the lens of biographical research. It asks how historical turning points resonate in individual lives and what significance such moments assume within biographical narratives.
PUBLIC LECTURE: Today, 6.15 p.m. - 7.45 p.m. Natalia Skorokhod will talk about „Cultural Transformations in the Baltic States after 2022“, using theatre as a lens and Estonia as a case, exploring ambivalence, memory, and new artistic responses to war.

Today Tim Senkbeil presented his PhD project titled. We discussed excerpts from the novels „Die Möglichkeit von Glück“ by Anne Rabe and Hendrik Bolz‘s „Nullerjahre“, which are some of the central texts in his dissertation.
