I’ve had a really REALLY shitty week for lots of reasons & I’m drained as hell / pretty fragile BUT. But. the temperature where I live has dropped to 14c and it’s raining and I could cry I’m so happy. I hate summer. I cannot wait to be cold and cosy and no longer default exhausted & overstimulated !
The two best bits of writing advice I could ever give are: 1) know how your story ends before you start writing it 2) for your very first draft, write it as poorly as you need to just to get it on to paper. doesn’t matter how shoddy, you can even make it bad on purpose to make yourself laugh.
my writing style has developed (and improved) so much in the last 2 years that re-reading my works from early 2024 actually feels like a form of torture

does anyone else ever feel like a physical ache of melancholy that you cannot ever return to a moment in time, especially in fandom? I'm feeling nostalgic remembering some of the zeitgeist moments around certain fandoms and missing them. wistful sigh
in the last few years I have genuinely reached a mindset of feeling very secure in myself, no longer desiring any kind of external validation & no longer taking other people’s behaviour personally it’s taken me a long time to get to this point but it’s genuinely so freeing & feels really good!!
