Like the whole reason trump demanded ~1m deportations a year is because that roughly equates to how many more votes Trump would have needed to beat biden in 2020 and win the popular vote against Harris in 2024. The SAVE America Act is about using this border patrol surveillance at polling sites.
I expect ICE goons to hang around polling places in november where a combination of purged voter rolls, face scans, and documentation demands will help them tip the scales by targeting their harrassment toward trump critics and minorities in hopes of swinging election results.
For more context, this wasn't someone with an arrest warrant. This was a regular dude who was critical of Atlanta's Cop City online and they wanted to dig up dirt they could charge him with. These are cops kidnapping law-abiding citizens without warrants in hopes of putting their critics in jail.
