Wow, the way Kierkegaard critiques back then mirror our world today. In terms of social media around naturism it's not hard to see how much principles of naturism, body acceptance, & connection with nature we share online can be overshadowed by a performative aspect & affect genuine connection (1/3)

In the social media age is naturism about being seen or being known this IG video suggests Kirkegard predicted the shift to performative superficial self expression instead of deeper connections of knowing www.instagram.com/reel/DXMcg_q...

Close to a full card win at nudist bingo. I'm so grateful for every moment in my naturist journey. 😊 This proves there is always more to explore. The nudist lifestyle is an adventure.

It feels so insincere, right? It's like they're trying to sell an image that's totally out of touch with what naturism is supposed to be about feeling comfortable and accepted in your own skin, no matter what. It's a shame and an unrealistic depiction of the nudist community at large.

While I'm having a rant... it really annoys me when naturist resorts or organisations use stock images of 'perfect' (young, slim, toned and tanned) naked bodies to promote themselves and/or naturism. This goes against the whole ethos of body freedom / positivity, acceptance and mutual respect.
