At the heart of the Reform project are allegations of big money buying influence. They wrap themselves in the flag while selling our future. We can be in no doubt about what they'd do in power. They would rip apart our communities and serve their crypto paymasters.

Let's be very clear that vicious anti Muslim hatred by politicians and their trillionaire mate Elon Musk create the conditions for this kind of vile attack. Sending huge solidarity to the Muslim community in Edinburgh and beyond.

On this most poignant of World Refugee Days, the Barnet Green Party stands in solidarity with refugees and asylum seekers around the world 💚 As the rhetoric from career politicians and the media becomes more damaging than ever, we remember that these are human beings...

Congratulations to Andy Burnham. But this isn’t a team of advisers which looks like challenging wealth and power. The race for Greater Manchester mayor starts today and it’s Greens v Reform.

Burnham advised by ex BOE, Goldman economists ahead of UK pm bid.

There is now clear evidence that the Great Israeli Real Estate event had unlawful activity at it. I've written to the Mayor of London to ask what he intends to do about it. This needs to be escalated immediately.

During Mayor's Question Time last week I asked you to put pressure on the government to ban the “unlawful” ‘Great Israeli Real Estate.’

You clarified that you had discussed the event with the Metropolitan Police Service and stated that any allegations of criminality relating to the potentially unlawful sale of property at the event would be assessed by the Met as part of an investigation.

It has since come to light that materials handed out at the ‘Great Israeli Real Estate’ event included properties in Ma'Ale Adumin and Givat Zeev in the West Bank and
Ramat Eshkol and Givat HaMatos in East Jerusalem.

These settlements are illegal under international law. This event should never have been allowed to happen in our city. There was substantial evidence ahead of the event that organisers were advertising properties in illegal settlements. More than 100 organisations, including human rights groups, as well as over 100 MPs called for the ‘Great Israeli Real Estate’ event to be cancelled.

The UK Government has repeatedly affirmed that Israeli settlements are illegal under international law.

With horrific settler violence against Palestinians on the rise, it’s more important than ever that those involved in hosting this deplorable event in our city are not allowed to act with impunity.

The Proceeds of Crime Act makes it illegal for promoters and estate agents operating in the UK to facilitate the sale of land acquired through illegal conduct.

Yvette Cooper has confirmed that the Advertising Standards Authority will investigate Sunday's event but that response is completely inadequate. This needs to be escalated to the Metropolitan Police Service immediately, anything less fails to reflect the
seriousness of the situation.

Following your discussion with the Met, why was a decision not made to ban the event given the clear and mounting evidence that justified its cancellation and how was it assessed that the event should go ahead? Could you also confirm whether t…Bild

Reminder to any aspiring Prime Ministers: approving new oil and gas licences is a climate crime. It won't deliver energy security and it won't take a penny off our bills. The only way to deliver cheaper, secure, homegrown energy is to invest rapidly in renewable power.

The Farmers Guardian say didn't expect to be writing a piece supporting me - but Greens have always been the party most serious about our food and farming sector. We need serious system change both for the cost of living and for our food security. www.farmersguardian.com/blog/4531069...

In an era of multiparty politics - first past the post is utterly broken. It is time for Proportional Representation. The climate crisis & our inequality crisis cannot wait for another general election. Failing to fix our democracy immediately will betray future generations.

Labour lost nearly four times as many voters to the Greens as Reform. Yet all you hear about is Reform's threat to Labour. Why? Because a) the left aren't treated as legitimate political actors b) Labour's masters prefer bashing migrants to challenging wealth and power

Not a fan of Burnham anyway, but seriously, what is the point of changing leader if they are going to keep the same inhumane and hostile policies Starmer supports which have pushed so many voters away from Labour. Whoever takes over needs to u-turn on them, fast. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
