I agree with what's been said by Ed and others here, just would add to this that my background is specifically in the kind of real-world economics that MMT describes, but I try to pitch the terms I use to the audience because sadly the rhetoric around these labels has gotten very divided.

For me the important thing is how you use the insights on how the monetary system works to get the outcomes you want, which for me and the Greens is an outcome grounded in ecological economics, I personally would specifically say an ecosocialist approach.

Fossil fuel profits are soaring like… well, like our energy bills. Funny that. But we don't have to let them use every crisis to squeeze us for profit. We can help those struggling & break the fossil fuel doomloop if we TAX THE PROFITEERS. Agree? 👉 you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/ra...
