With the new Politico story, some folks are gonna have strong reactions to it, but my personal take is: a) it’s not like it’s her main outreach effort and b) the strategy of fight the right everywhere, turn influencers against their coalition to sow chaos in their ranks…. not the worst idea

I grew up in the same neighborhood as David Crowley. We were the poor Black kids they liked to call animals. He's a great dude, the most progressive Milwaukee county exec. in a long, long time. Franchesca Hong is awesome too, though, so I'm mostly rooting for everyone to have fun tonight

I love you all but you are incredibly (understandably) reactive. It’s making you SO easily manipulated by rage baiters. When you see something without context, a headline or a snippet of a quote, take a deep breath and look into it to see if you really should be upset. Please protect your hearts.

Paying interns would be one of the easiest and cheapest "lead by example" things that Council could do on equal access and living wages. Who can afford to do an unpaid internship for the summer? (not poor folk!)

I know it looks like deliberate destruction but I think they're genuinely surprised this doesn't work

mtsw@mtsw.bsky.social · 4mo agoOne of my scorchingly hot takes is that the best way to display a widescreen movie on a standard def CRT TV is to *stretch* the original aspect ratio to full screen (as opposed to letterboxing or cropping). Looks weird for a couple minutes but you quickly get used to it
