We’re not skirting around DEI to protect our spaces. This is a full fronted assault on our homes, our families, etc. I am not willing to compromise who I am to make anyone feel safe. But if you’re just looking for a hug I’m still here.

I got disinvited to an event because of…Charlie. Because I wont apologize that science should be a space for thoughts and not liars trying to advance their careers. I’m sorry, I’m always Isis.

In all the mess, there is a euphoria to remembering that I was born in & live in a city that has my family's back. My parents were undocumented teenagers when they came to LA from Mexico. My mom had me at 17 in a hospital-turned-parking-lot in the San Fernando Valley. I love you, Los Angeles.

I finished my last MBA assignment about how bias impacts communication biases. It included communities many of us recognize - race, ethnicity, and 🏳️‍🌈. They’re not always seen but I felt compelled to add a a slide that sometimes you can’t see people’s differences and have autism as an example.
