good old historic palo alto - where they did things like make a park for "palo alto residents only" so that the poors & POC who they'd redlined out of buying homes there wouldn't be able to visit it. & it wasn't until a lawsuit in 2020 that it opened to everyone. such a rich history!

These judges have power because they sucked up to power. The results are unsurprising. We don’t need meek reforms (term limits! Ethics rules!). We need a radical rethinking of the pipeline.

Councilmember Rick Cole was out all night in Pasadena and honestly is the only elected official who is properly expressing the outrage at the federal government felt by terrified constituents — in this case living across the street from where homes were burned in the Eaton Fire
