"Dreams in Darkness" finds Batman locked in Arkham Asylum and suffering from a barrage of fear toxin-induced hallucinations. Heavy on atmosphere and featuring some really creepy sequences (stuff that likely wouldn't work in live-action,) it's the best Scarecrow episode in BTAS.

Rewatching Caped Crusader S1 in prep for S2. Ep2 has so many references to thing I love. Characters modeled after Boris Karloff (with a touch of Lon Chaney Sr) and Monster Make-Up genius Jack Pierce, as well as Clayface looking like Batman’s inspiration…The Shadow
