Genuinely, aside from pay, I don't understand why people think working in the private sector is better than working in academia.
The simplest explanation is likely the correct one: the BLM forgot to consult a geologist.

This is a perfect example of internalized ableism. Being so terrified of your own diagnosis that you endanger everyone with it by calling for it to be hidden and squirreled away where no one can find it and make everyone who has it hide in the shadows or be publicly judged.

Sorry for the hiatus, everyone! Both Glaciers & Whatnot and At Its Core are back this week.
i simply find it a little hard to believe that shortly after every website implemented ai code and fired a bunch of engineers they all started breaking constantly every single day but its not related to the ai code or the skeleton crew
Maybe this wouldn't happen if the @bsky.app devs didn't vibe code everything... just a thought
