People don't understand how GDP per capita works so let me show you. 999 workers on $20,000 a year. 1 billionaire on $500,000,000 a year. Gross Domestic Product per person $519,980. Aren't you doing well.
100%. For too long companies have paid unliveable wages in the knowledge that governments will make taxpayers make those wages up to liveable level. Why, oh why, are taxpayes made to subsidise profiteering companies? Companies need to pay liveable wages not sponge off taxpayers.
40% of universal credit is paid to low paid workers. If you want to cut the benefits bill, make employers pay them properly rather than pocket obscene profits
Data centers will not benefit you in any way. They will facilitate billionaires in destroying the environment, using up our water, enriching themselves, and enslaving you.
Jobs as a fair income distribution system broke 50 years ago and will only continue getting worse because of the amount of income that flows to wealth and the way wealth buys politicians. We need to tax wealth, distribute Universal Basic Income as a national dividend, and get money out of politics.
US corporate profits have hit a record high of over $9 trillion the first half of this year, while workers’ slice of the pie has recently sunk to historic lows.

Just a reminder this statement was said by a sitting Congressman to the public, Trump and his DOJ offered not one pushback, denial or lawsuit.. it’s still just sitting out there

The world is producing more than ever, costs to make it are lower, fewer people are needed to do it But life is unaffordable, services are terrible and the future is dismal. All because a handful of insanely rich billionaires take everything and demand even more. A better future needs rid of them
Successive Tory & Labour governments are complicit in super-rich tax avoidance Paving the way for Reform UK, Restore Britain & the far right to blame immigrants, Black and disabled people for the poverty caused by massive income inequality meme via The Daily Politik
"I wouldn't have to do crime, and steal to eat." Quote by someone released from incarceration who was polled about the idea of unconditional basic income. And here's another quote you may already know. It's a line from Bertolt Brecht's Threepenny Opera: "First comes food. Then comes morality."
The world is nearly $250tn in debt That is more than the value of everything on it It's impossible, it is fake Imaginary debt sitting on computer screens, created so you have to pay the banks for it, and the REAL money goes from you to the richest to pay... For imaginary debt
She backs a global wealth tax and says the richest can afford to contribute far more.
"Think about about it and weep Reform z○mbies.." via Expose Racism PS If only asylum seekers & benefit claimants had £millions in spare cash they could 'donate' it to Reform UK or buy Farage a 6th house and see an instant U-turn in policy ...
Hahaha. We need so much more of this Private Eye style ridicule when it comes to Farage. No one should be taking him seriously any more.
I wish the media wouldn't cover SpaceX as if it were an exciting frontier-pushing scientific endeavour when it's really the vanity project of a megalomaniac Bond villain type www.bbc.co.uk/news/videos/...

Today, a new hosepipe ban came into force - yet nearly 3 billion litres of water is lost a day from leaky pipes belonging to privatised water companies. That's 5x more water than a nationwide hosepipe ban would save. We need to bring water back into public hands now.
Too stupid to understand that if we're enjoying the heat, anywhere south of us is on fire and the people there will have to come here in small boats.
Just a thought, but is it perhaps time for a responsible news media to stop reporting the dribbling arseblurts of these fools? Seriously, this is on a par with “Bloke down the pub says it’s a well-known fact that there’s no actual evidence that smoking is bad for you.”
Scientists discover things. Engineers design things. Workers build things. Millions of us make all of this possible. Then one bloke owns it all, so apparently he created the wealth, and gets to take a share of EVERYTHING. Amazing system. Tear it down. Seize the stuff.
Nigel Farage claims he was told by Essex Police not to attend the result of the by-election. Essex Police says they’ve not advised any candidate to stay away. Gosh, if only I knew who to believe:
