everyone in the pro-ukraine space seems to agree that russia *should* have nukes, because they are coming from a MAD perspective, where disarmament isn't aiming for zero nukes, but the minimum number required to prevent total war israel wants iran to remain as defenseless as ukraine is to russia
i notice that their bridges look really cool and functional, just like the bridges i use in portland. my neighbors put a lot of effort into those bridges across the willamette, and it's the same in iran. generations of accumulated capital put to use for the general good, set in stone and steel.

When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.
i used to really dislike unpleasant music, like stravinsky or schoenberg, until i took a class on music theory that walked me through the whole history of the musical culture they were coming from. without that i don't think i'd be able to enjoy justice, 100 gecs, or the yeezus album

I feel like a bare minimum criteria for Primate Leadership should be Understanding How Bananas Work. Like, on one hand, of course we’re not going to ask you, ‘Do you understand how bananas work?’ We will just assume you do. BUT! If you demonstrate inability to clear that hurdle you must resign.
