I always find that if you listen to this on headphones, esp. if you have base amplified and also have activate noise cancellation, it sounds so good. It's not like the short chirps of the binary black hole mergers. This one is like a long duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwooooooop!

It was pretty cold last night so the moths were not as out as we’d hope, but we still saw cool critters, like this assassin bug nymph!

On the one hand, I'm sad to be missing M&M this year and I hope you're all having a blast 💜 On the other, this is the traffic I'm currently dealing with 🥰

In a previous job, the lab-head welcomed us with "you have no time for hobbies now, science is your hobby" I laughed, at what I thought was obvs a joke Please, have hobbies and passions beyond work. It doesn't mean you're lazy or profligate, it means you experience more of what it is to be human.

It is true. Just tested it myself. Google AI claims that Hungary (Ungarn) starts with H in German (which it isn’t, only true in English ) and that it is sometimes called Holland (which probably refers to the Netherlands). Nice demonstration how AI works … 😉
